The Indonesia National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) confirmed there were 91 people died and 209 people were seriously injured in the earthquake last night.
Sutopo Purwo Nugroho from BNPB said the death toll from the earthquake on Lombok has risen to 91 and could rise further as rescuers are yet to reach some of the worst affected areas in the north of the island.
He continued that there is "massive" damage in north Lombok from the quake that struck early Sunday evening. Thousands of houses and buildings are severely damaged causing deaths to the majority of the victims.
President Joko Widodo has ordered cabinet ministers, military, and police to accelerate the disaster relief effort.

Indonesia Correspondent for ABC Australia, David Lipson said he is in contact with at least one Australian stranded due to the earthquake.
He gathered reports saying “bodies in the streets on Gili Islands”, near the coast of northwest Lombok Island.
Tourists have begun to leave the island as both airports in Lombok are reported to be fully operating.
Sutopo Purwo Nugroho posted images of the evacuations process from Gili islands. There are approximately 1000 domestic and foreign tourists being evacuated.
On the sidelines of a preview event for the upcoming Asian Games on Monday morning, President Joko Widodo, expressed “deep sorrow for the victims” who died in West Nusa Tenggara after earthquake, as reported by Kate Lamb from News AU.
The president pledged to rebuild the damaged island, noting that emergency teams were still surveying the full extent of the damage.
