The Official Motto
Unlike the 18th Asian Games that was titled Energy of Asia; this year, the committee has selected the slogan of The Inspiring Spirit and Energy of Asia for the 3rd Asian Para Games. The official motto aims to motivate us to be more positive and to support social equality.

The Logo
How about the logo that showcases a rainbow-like circle? The whole concept is about harmony. The outer circle itself means balance that is formed by diverse nations of Asia, together they shine and bring the world a message of The Energy of Asia. As for the colours, blue represents the sky; orange symbolizes the sun, green means nature, purple and red colours epitomize proximity and spirit, respectively. The white pieces of scattered around the centre of the logo represent the silhouette of Bung Karno Stadium from the top view.

The Third Tournament
The first Asian Para Games was held in Guangzhou, China in 2010; while the second one, Incheon, Korea was the host of the Asian Para Games. This year, the 3rd Asian Para Games will be the very first major international multi-sports event for Indonesia that involves athletes with various disabilities.

Momo the Mascot
Have you ever wondered what is that unique Indonesian animal you see as the official logo of the 2018 Asian Para Games? Well, it is the Brahminy Kite, in Indonesia, it is known as Elang Bondol. The name Momo is stood for Motivation and Mobility. Brahminy Kite is also used as the symbol of Jakarta as the hosting city of the 2018 Asian Games that represents strength and courage.

Song of Victory
Be prepared to sing along to celebrate the event! This year’s theme song is titled Song of Victory that will be sung by top local singers like Vidi Aldiano and Maudy Ayunda. Not only that, it will be sung by a blind singer Putri Ariani as well.

Ocean Theme for the Opening Ceremony
We still can feel the magical atmosphere of the 2018 Asian Games, so no wonder people will anticipate the opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Para Games as well! This year, the concept that will be used for the opening ceremony is ocean theme. The reason is, “Indonesia consists of mountains and seas, and is rich in culture,” Raja Sapta Oktohari, the Chairman of Indonesia Asian Para Games 2018 Organizing Committee explained, at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, on Thursday (27/09) as told by Tempo.co. Not only will the audiences be entertained and satisfied by several art performances, but the ceremony will also be presented by performances from people disabilities. “We want to show that Indonesia is a country that is friendly to people with disabilities,” Okto said.

The Sports
There will be 15 Paralympic and 3 non-Paralympic sports that will be competed in the 3rd Asian Para Games this year, namely: Archery, Para Athletic, Badminton, Boccia, Chess, Cycling, Goal Ball, Judo, Lawn Ball, Para Powerlifting, Para-Swimming, Shooting Para-Sport, Tenpin Bowling, Table Tennis, Volleyball Sitting, Wheelchair basketball, Wheelchair Fencing, and Wheelchair Tennis—as cited from Indonesia.travel. Around 3000 athletes from Asian nations will participate in the games.

Cycling is the new Addition to the Program
In the middle of this year, the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) Executive Board has agreed and approved the inclusion of road cycling sport to be added to the program after at least 10 National Paralympic Committees, and more than 60 athletes have expressed their interests towards the inclusion.
